  The Japanese Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications (MPHPT) has established a workgroup in charge of reexamining test methods related to the current Terminal Equipment Regulations. 
  Telecommunication carriers, equipment manufacturers, and other related organizations participating to this workgroup are re-defining telecommunication equipment test methods in the scope of a future globalization of the telecommunication standards.  

@ARIB, the Association of Radio Industries and Business in charge of the publication of the Japanese radio standards, has set a new workgroup as part of the MMAC homelink comittee. This workgroup will be in charge of defining the Japanese version of the UWB standard.
